DiDA results

Like GCSEs and GCEs, DiDA qualifications are awarded. This means that the grade boundaries for an SPB are determined by an awarding committee at the end of the first series in which it is moderated.

This ensures that:

  • the Uniform Mark Score (UMS) that candidates receive reflects the quality of the work they submit
  • consistency of standards is maintained across different SPBs and between units and levels
  • DiDA is subjected to the same rigorous quality assurance procedures as other Edexcel general qualifications.

Once set, the grade boundaries for an SPB are reviewed at the end of each moderation series for which the SPB is valid, and any necessary adjustments made.

Grade boundaries may differ between SPBs for the same unit and level.

The process of converting raw marks to uniform marks is explained in more detail in the document below.

Please be aware that the document does not reflect the conversion marks for any current moderation series.
