Serif Design Suite for DiDA

Serif’s creative solution will provide all the graphics software tools needed to satisfy the key creative elements of DiDA, with tools for: bitmap and vector drawing, digital video editing, DTP and web publishing for the final e-portfolio.

Coupled with the substantial DiDA support materials, Serif can assist teachers in course delivery and effectively prepare students of all abilities for the SPB.

Unit 1
Using ICT

PagePlus X2 will provide all of the DTP tools needed for the unit to create professional publications. Directly import data from Excel® or Access® to combine and present information gathered from pupils research, ready to export for their final e-portfolio.

Unit 2
MultiMedia

MoviePlus 5 will give pupils access to a wide range of digital video editing tools, including customisable transitions, special effects, titles and soundtracks. Pupils of all abilities will be able to create a movie or presentation fit for audience and purpose.

Unit 3
Graphics

Creating a range of exciting graphic products is quick and easy with Serif – whether it’s using DrawPlus 8 to create a vector scale drawing or layered bitmap images in PhotoPlus 11, pupils will have access to all the necessary tools to prepare images for both screen and print.

Unit 4
ICT in Enterprise

The Serif Design Suite for DiDA enables pupils to create a corporate identity with a ‘wow’ factor. Promote the enterprise with professional business documents designed in PagePlus, and create a promotional website in WebPlus 10 to reflect the company style.

WebPlus 10 allows pupils to create an easy to navigate e-portfolio for each units final SPB, using simple site management. As there’s no need to know HTML, pupils can concentrate on the design of their e-portfolio.
