Functional Skills

There are no plans as yet to make obtaining Functional ICT a requirement for achievement in DiDA. However, there is a very close correlation between DiDA Unit 1 and Functional ICT. QCA has ruled out use of proxy qualifications for Functional ICT. This means that - even though learners demonstrate by producing an eportfolio for Unit 1 of DiDA that they are functional – they will have to do the Functional ICT test too if they want to achieve a Functional ICT certificate.
